Vendor Code of Conduct 

Palmetto Anthro Collective's Vendor Code Of Conduct

Palmetto Anthro Weekend is an event organized and founded by the Palmetto Anthro Collective, which may be abbreviated to “PAC” or referred to as “we,” “us,” “our,” or “ourselves” for the duration of this document. The party consenting to this Code of Conduct may be referred to as “you,” “your,” or “yourself,” for the duration of this document. You agree to our established guidelines and standards detailed in this document. We reserve the right to take appropriate action against action(s) and/or cases that go against our Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct is in place to ensure everyone is safe and has a good time. Thank you for reading.

Selection and Waitlist

Dealers are selected by a juried selection and are picked via point system. Bonus points are awarded to southeastern vendors based on their state, under the following guidelines: 

South Carolina-based applicants - +3 bonus points

 North Carolina, Georgia, & Tennessee-based applicants - +2 bonus points

Florida & Virginia-based applicants - +1 bonus points

 Waitlist Transparency

Waitlisted vendors will be able to see their waitlist position on a Google Spreadsheet, which will be given to waitlisted vendors via email. Waitlisted vendors will only be removed from the waitlist if requested or if the time to be ready has expired. The waitlist will work by using your Concat ID for anonymity so only you, the applicant, will know your placement on the waitlist. Positions on the waitlist are chosen for several reasons. 

1) Location 2) Experience 3) Products offered.

For Palmetto Anthro Weekend, there will only be 12 vendors on the waitlist.

 Just because you're placed on the waitlist does not mean we can guarantee a table for you, if you are removed from the waitlist, you will be contacted personally.

Timeline

All vendors will know their position by mid September 2026.

Registration + table must be purchased and paid for by October 18th, 2026. The dealer's table fee includes all taxes and fees. Approved vendors will be added to a vendor Telegram chat “Palmetto Anthro Weekend Vendors”  with other vendors and staff for ease of communication and networking with your fellow vendors. 

Once a vendor is approved, they will have until October 18th, 2026 to pay for their table and register, unless an extension is requested and approved by Palmetto Anthro Collective staff.

Approved vendors will be required to obtain and submit a South Carolina Tax ID to the Palmetto Anthro Collective by November 1st to confirm their slots, unless an extension is requested and approved by Palmetto Anthro Collective staff.

Rollovers/Cancellations

Dealers' tables can be rolled over if a request is submitted 28 days prior to the event. Rollovers are valid for the next Palmetto Anthro Collective event. If you cannot attend, please email us immediately or message a staff member on Telegram. Refunds are given on a case-by-case basis.

Dealers' Assistants

Dealers are allowed 2 assistants for setup and teardown, but only 2 people will be allowed behind the table at all times. If you require disability accommodations, please contact Palmetto Anthro Collective staff.

If a Palmetto Anthro Collective event reaches its capacity before you have registered your assistant, please contact Palmetto Anthro Collective staff. 

Dealers are responsible for the conduct of their dealer assistant(s). Any inappropriate or violating action(s) by the assistant(s) may lead to infractions against the dealer.

What are the sizes of the Tables? - 6ft x 30in

Displays, Merchandise, and Services

Any items that are displayed or for sale must be compliant with Palmetto Anthro Collective's Code of Conduct; any items that are not in compliance will be asked to be taken down. 

Please ask Vendor staff before den hours and during set up for “pre-check” if you believe that any items you have may violate any PAC rules, asking to take items down during a “pre-check” will not count as a warning.

A vendor will get one warning for non-compliant items. If a second warning is needed, the vendor may be asked to leave with no possibility of a refund.

Palmetto Anthro Collective events have a "no sticky note" policy. If it must be covered by sticky note to be viewed by general audiences due to the suggestiveness or language, it is not allowed. PAC events during vendor hours are for general audiences of all ages.

We do not allow for the display of Dakis/Pin-ups in the general den that are not under a blatant comedic SFW nature (i.e. Car Daki or Worm on string Daki). If you are unsure, request a pre-check from staff.

 All items must be SFW and have a max rating of PG-13, NSFW material for “black books” are prohibited even if behind the table or a vendor checks ID ahead of allowing an attendee to view.

NO NSFW material is allowed for Palmetto Anthro Collective events as of 7/10/2026

Palmetto Anthro Collective does not allow products that weren't made with furries in mind, i.e., no anime/comic artist, please. You may not have more than 20% of your content be fanart of IP content.

Items that are illegal to possess or sell in the State of South Carolina are prohibited. Vendors are expected to know and follow all relevant state and local laws regarding what can and cannot be sold.

No AI art! Never! Ever! NO! 

Due to our venue contracts, outside food and drinks are prohibited; Vendors are not allowed to sell food or drinks. 

As a vendor, it is your responsibility to make sure everything you sell follows copyright and trademark laws. Palmetto Anthro Collective is not responsible for any legal issues that come up from selling licensed products or works you don’t have the rights to. Any merchandise that is sold by a counterfeit vendor is prohibited.

Sales or trades between dealers are perfectly fine as long as taxes are handled appropriately.  

Vendors may only sell products that they own (i.e., the vendor has full legal permission to sell) or have created. Selling merchandise on behalf of another is prohibited. Proxies are an exception.

No loud, disruptive, or distracting displays. For safety reasons, bright spotlights and especially flashing or strobe lights are prohibited. Be mindful of your surroundings and make sure your activities, sound levels, and visual displays do not annoy or disturb other vendors or attendees.

Do not have your merch encroach into other vendors' table(s) or spaces. DO NOT block egress, make sure walkways are clear, and do not create a hazard for you and other vendors. 

Do not move your table or move chairs without permission from Palmetto Anthro Collective Staff. 

No more than 2 people behind a 6ft table. Disability accommodations are to be communicated to Palmetto Anthro Collective Staff

Vendors are not required to stay at their table(s) at all times. If you need to go out to your car or use the bathroom, flag down a staff member. We will be more than happy to babysit your table until you return. 

Due to sales and use tax laws, we are unable to make sales on the vendor's behalf.

Palmetto Anthro Collective can not provide a vendor with cash or break change.  

Vendors are responsible for any damage to the venue caused by their actions. 

Any items (within reason) left by vendors are considered lost and will be held by the Palmetto Anthro Collective staff for 30 days. Lost items may be retrieved by vendors in those 30 days by reaching out to Palmetto Anthro Collective via email. Vendors will be responsible for transport costs, as necessary. After 30 days, that item is considered abandoned property and will be treated as property of Palmetto Anthro Collective. 

Vendors who abandon items or leave trash around their table during teardown may be blacklisted from future Palmetto Anthro Collective events. Do not make our staff clean up after you!

Palmetto Anthro Collective is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items of any kind. 

If there are disputes concerning these rules, the decision of the Palmetto Anthro Collective Board of Directors is final, and can only be appealed by the President.

Tax Information

Only approved vendors may sell at Palmetto Anthro Collective events. All vendors in the Dealers Den are required to have a valid South Carolina retail sales tax form. Any vendor without this documentation will not be permitted to sell, and no refunds will be issued for any fees paid. All Dealers are required to obtain and submit a South Carolina Tax ID to Palmetto Anthro Collective. DO NOT submit/send us your SSN(Social Security Number) or your Federal EIN (Employer Identification Number), only your South Carolina Tax ID. Dealers are required to collect tax on all taxable sales made during any Palmetto Anthro Collective event. You can register online with the South Carolina Department of Revenue (SCDOR).

Dealers are responsible for filing sales tax returns and paying collected taxes directly to the SCDOR on the required schedule (monthly, quarterly, or annually). Palmetto Anthro Collective is not responsible and will not file anything on your behalf.

Palmetto Anthro Collective is not responsible for maintaining or holding on to any vendor's South Carolina Tax ID. A South Carolina Tax ID may be kept on file from event to event.

Guide to filing a South Carolina tax ID. 

1. Go to the MyDORWAY South Carolina Department of Revenue website.

2. Under Application & Searches, click Business Tax Registration.

3. Under I Want To, click Register a Business.

4. Search for and select an NAICS code:

Please do your research, but some suggestions might be:

-711510 - Independent Artists, Writers, and Performers

-458110 - Clothing and Clothing Accessories Retailers

-459420 - Gift, Novelty, and Souvenir Retailers

-459999 - All Other Miscellaneous Retailers

Click Next.

5. Click New business tax application. 

6. Fill out Business Information:

The type of Ownership depends on the type of business you have registered.

After you have finished filling out your information, click Next. 

7. Fill out additional information, contact information, and Business Owner, General Partners, Offices, or Members information. Then click next   

8. Fill out the location address information

9. Select Retail Sales Tax and click Next.

- The earliest anticipated date of first retail sales must be on or before February, 5th 2026

10. Sign up for a MyDORWAY account and click next. 

11. Pay for your retail sales tax.
